Okay, Mike. Here's what went down at last night's IWE live event in Brewer.
* IWE Tag Team Championship Match: Scotty Vegas & Viper The American Ninja defeated Mason X & Andy McKenzie via countout. Since titles cannot change hands on a countout, Mason and McKenzie are still champions. I anticipate at least one more match between these two teams.
* "The Extreme Strongman" Gino Martino defeated "Mr. Canada" Ricky Williams.
* 6th Annual King of New England Royal Rumble: Gino Martino outlasted more than 19 other competitors, last eliminating Big Gene Geroux who somehow managed to hang in there the entire time, to become the NEW IWE Heavyweight Champion. This match was a lot of fun and definitely not short on "mark out moments" as fans were treated to appearances from The Red Ranger, Killer Kyle Krup, Johnnywood Hogan, Hobo Joe, Savage Dragon Nissa, and La Parka. The Captain also made a brief appearance in the match to hammer a point home to the rogue Canadian Contingent.
INTERMISSION
* Fatal 4-Way Elimination Match: "White Delight" Scott Wild defeated Shane Marvel, Mark Moment, and Jivin' Jimmy Capone.
* IWE Television Championship Match: Crash Landing (with Jivin' Jimmy Capone) defeated Sonny Roselli (with a masked enforcer) to retain his title, but not before enduring a vicious 2-on-1 assault from Roselli and his masked accomplice who revealed himself to be John "The Bomb" Bryer. Suffice it to say, The Bomb Squad has imploded and fans can expect to see a series of matches between the two former partners, potentially involving Jivin' Jimmy Capone and Sonny Roselli from time to time.
* "The Psycho Siren" Aida Marie defeated Desiree Clash in some eye-popping, jaw-dropping women's action. This match could have been better from an in-ring standpoint, but these girls are definitely easy on the eyes and I hope to see more of them going forward.
* "The Concept" Johnny Miyagi defeated Johnathan Alexander Primer in Primer's last wrestling match ever. Primer may not have come out on top, but he definitely went out in style as wrestlers and fans alike gave him an overwhelmingly positive sendoff befitting a rare IWE original. He spent the past seven years of his life establishing a name and a reputation and he put his body through a lot of abuse and went to war with a multitude of different opponents. I'm really proud of him for what he has been able to accomplish throughout his career and I wish him the absolute best in everything he chooses to do going forward. #ThankYouPrimer
