Here are my thoughts from tonight's IWE Fairfield event
We start off with a Preshow Match as Roadblock and Ali face Hobo Joe and LA PARKA NE. This was a fun preshow bout about 6 minutes with the Hobo scoring the pin
Our main show starts off with Shane Marvel facing White Ranger. Meh nothing special Marvel finally picks up a win and evil triumphs.
The Conman Report with the Bomb Squad. Tension is teased in the Bomb Squad again and then Bryar calls out Frankie Flash who comes out and Bryar basically buries Flash and says that he's been in the business 10 years and basically we get a match between the two for later in the night.
Next up we had IWE newcomer Owen Brodie facing Crash Landing, This wasn't too bad honestly Brodie's impressing me and Crash is improving little by little Crash gets the win here in a minor upset i'd say.
Next was the Gentlemen's Agreement Match as Cameron Mathews battled Scotty Vegas in a nice contest a bit slow for the Fairfield crowd but it was some great wrestling in the end it's Vegas avoiding Cameorn in the corner and Cameron taking a nasty spill to the floor and getting counted out. After the Match Mathews shakes Vegas's hand and then plasters him with a chair shot to the head and leaves.
Prior to Intermission Jivin Jimmy hypes the Aug 12th Robbie Ellis tribute show and announces that former ROH World Champion Die Hard Eddie Edwards will be part of the tournament.
After intermission we have the Global Title match as Jivin Jimmy took on Mr Canada Ricky Williams. This was a good match between these two that went back and forth and in the end it's Capone getting the win on Williams.
Next up was Celtic Conner Murphy taking on Viper the American Ninja in kind of a preview of ULTIMATE SURVIVAL 3 for those who haven't read the website yet Murphy will be taking Andy Meckenzie's place in Brewer TONIGHT. Anyways this was a good match that in the end sees Conner get another impressive win for himself with the Celtic Clutch.
Next was John the Bomb Bryar vs Frankie Flash in a NON TITLE MATCH. Bryar basically proved his point of why he believes Frankie doesn't desefve the IWE Title by beating the hell out of him for 10 minutes. But the end sees more friction between TBS and Bryar goes for a chair but it's snatched away by Crash Landing and Frankie gets the count out win and gets out of dodge while TBS have their drama continue and Bryar shoves Crash on his ass.
Our main event is the tag titles but before hand we are informed that Kyle Huntley is not in the building so KKK ends up choosing Mason X. Conman informs them that win lose or draw Mason X will not leave as IWE Tag Team Champions. The Tenacious Two come out send Mason X in to KKK and then quickly land Absolution from Above on Mason and are YOUR NEW IWE TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS.
IWE Returns to Fairfield Maine on SUNDAY AFTERNOON Aug 12th with the Robbie Ellis Tribute Super Juniors Tournament featuring former ROH World Champion DIE HARD Eddie Edwards will be on the show. I IMPLORE any IWE fan i dom't care if you're from the Central Maine area or from Brewer or wherever plese come to this event it promises to be a FANTASTIC show featuring some of New England's best Light Heavyweight Wrestlers and it's in support of not just Maine Independent Wrestling but of a true legend in Maine Wrestling Canvasman Robbie Ellis.
