I don't usually do these here but I figure, I'll give it a go. Here's a little run down of the action last night in Cornville, for those who couldn't make it.
* To open up the show, we had Scotty Vegas taking on the now, seemingly evil superhero, Shane Marvel. Some good back and forth action between the two. A pretty good match to get the show started. Vegas gets the win with a roll up. After the match, Marvel raised Vegas' hand but then attacked him, knocking him down and giving him a curb stomp. This prompted Viper The Ninja to come out and chase Marvel off.
My Match Rating: 6/10
* Next match was the previously mentioned, Viper The Ninja taking on Roadblock. Not a bad match, could have been worse. Crowd was definitely behind Viper and getting on Roadblock's case, chanting "Roadkill" at him several times throughout the match. Viper got the win with a roll up.
My Match Rating: 3/10
* We then have our first title match of the night, as "The Regime", Kyle Huntley & Killer Kyle Krupp defended the belts against "The Bomb Squad", John Bryer & Crash Landing. The match started off with some comedy stuff, as Bomb gave Huntley a wedgie and spanked him, infuriating Kyle. From there, it was a very good contest. Back and forth, with both teams trying to vie for control of the match. The Regime would get it eventually and from there, wouldn't look back, as they successfully retain titles, after Krupp lifted Crash up and Kyle gave him a superkick, prompting Krupp to bring Crash down with a spinebuster at the same time.
My Match Rating: 7/10

* Next (I think, I can't remember if this was the next match or the match after), Brutis came to the ring and made a challenge to anyone in the back or anyone in the crowd. The challenge was accepted by someone in the crowd, who happened to be IWE's resident hobo, Hobo Joe. Unfortunately for Joe, I think Joe wishes he kept his mouth shut, as Brutis dominated him from beginning to end. Brutis gets the win after a spinebuster. Just a straight squash match.
My Match Rating: 1.5/10
* The IWE Championship was on the line next as Ricky Williams was suppose to take on Robbie Ellis but Ellis was not in the building. Williams said there was no suitable opponent for him to defend the title against and that's when the unmistakable music of Sonny Roseli hit, infuriating Williams. Sonny and Williams went on to have a good, entertaining, match up. Williams would hit Sonny with a diving headbutt and get the win, successfully retaining the championship.
My Match Rating: 6/10
* And now it's time for the match a lot of people were waiting for - The Main Event! It was a tag team ladder match, consisting of The Lawless Alliance, Mason X & Ian Griffin, taking on The Tenacious 2, Scotty Wild & Johnny Miyagi, with the winner of the match becoming the new #1 contenders for the IWE Tag Team Championship. Personally, this was the match that attracted me to come to the event and it definitely lived up to expectations. This was a GREAT match, that saw a whole lot of brutality and violence dished out to all men included in the match. The finish came when Scott climbed the ladder and grabbed the contract, while Miyagi fought off a beaten and battered Ian Griffin and Mason X. (NOTE: Bob Conn also got a little retribution during the match, on Lawless. Marion was up on the ring apron, trying to distract T2, when Bob came from behind Lawless, pulled him down off the ring, and causing Lawless to bash his face into the side of the ring. It was great! Haha.) Like I said, this was an awesome match and definitely stole the show, living up to the hype and expectations. A great job by all involved in the match.
My Match Rating: 9.5/10
It was a pretty good night of action. It was just too bad there wasn't a very good turn out. People missed out on a good show. I'll say it was definitely worth the trip down to see it.
